I’m not much of a “shoe guy” – I tend to get by with only a few pairs of shoes and am fine with whatever this happens to say about me. At TED a few months ago one of the gifty-things we got was a free pair of sneakers ("Venturas") from KEEN. I understood these shoes were going to be environmentally correct. I almost missed the coupon that I could send in, along with my shoe size. But I didn’t. And now I’m wearing these great new shoes.I like them very much. A few people have commented on their casual-yet-oddly stylish profile. I find them comfortable and light and, like a good pair of dark jeans, pretty versatile. Anyway, I wear them and like them and since – I believe – they were handed to me so I would publicly comment (I guess KEEN takes their chances that I’m not going to trash them), here it is. But I got them for free, which provides some bias. Keep that in mind. Fun and snazzy, yes?
